But I probably would have ended up as an electrician, something random like that. I train most days and my schedule can vary by the week, depending on what I'm doing. I often use the sport science facilities at Southampton Solent University to work on my strength and conditioning, as well as to do rehab work on my shoulders. It's important to look after them as they are really important joints in Paralympic rugby.

ParalympicsGB is holding the latest of its talent identification days on 29 November. There was no way I was going to be carried. I wanted to do it all myself. It was a big challenge, and I took a lot of lessons from my sport into it as well. So I knew how hard to push myself. I think we live in one of the most inclusive countries in the entire world, and the way everybody gets behind you and supports you is amazing.

It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.
